IP Cameras connected to central NVR
In some CCTV setups with multiple IP cameras, the cameras are connected to a central Network Video Recorder (NVR). In this case, it may be necessary to perform the above steps directly on the NVR instead of the individual IP cameras. There are two main reasons for this:

Lack of RTMP Capability: Some IP cameras may not have built-in RTMP streaming capability. In such cases, the NVR can act as an intermediary device that receives the camera feeds and handles the RTMP streaming to Intelobotica.com. By configuring the NVR for streaming, you can ensure that the camera feeds are properly encoded and streamed to the desired RTMP endpoint.

Preferred Setup: Additionally, in certain CCTV setups, it is preferred to centralize the streaming configuration in the NVR for ease of management and control. By configuring the NVR to handle the streaming settings for all connected IP cameras, you can streamline the setup process and have a centralized point of control for camera feeds and streaming settings.

When using an NVR for streaming, you will typically access the NVR's settings or configuration interface to configure the RTMP streaming parameters. This may involve entering the RTMP Server URL and Stream Key provided by Intelobotica.com into the NVR's streaming settings.

By performing the streaming configuration on the NVR, you can ensure that all IP cameras connected to it will have their video feeds streamed to the specified RTMP endpoint. This simplifies the setup process and provides a centralized solution for managing multiple camera streams.

If you have a CCTV setup with a central NVR and need assistance with configuring the streaming settings on the NVR, please consult the NVR's documentation or reach out to the manufacturer's support for detailed instructions specific to your NVR model.

If you encounter any issues during the setup or have questions regarding the streaming process, feel free to reach out to the Intelobotica.com support team for assistance.

IP Camera Examples

Here are some examples of how to configure an IP Camera via RTMP.

Hikvision IP Cameras

To connect a Hikvision IP Camera to Intelobotica.com, you can follow similar steps as shown in this video tutorial for connecting a Hikvision IP Camera to YouTube.

This example refers to the Hikvision IP Camera Model: DS-2CD2346G2-IU, although similar models may require a similar configuration process.

Special adjustments (optional but preferable)
Disable Audio
Unlike the example above. When setting up your Camera to stream to intelobotica, it's recomended that you disable the audio option on your IP Camera settings
Lower video resolution
Unlike the example above. When setting up your Camera to stream to intelobotica, it's recomended that you set the video resolution to 1280 dpi or lower, being the ideal 720dpi or 1280x720 pixels

Analog Cameras

When dealing with analog cameras, these cameras produce analog video signals that need to be digitized and encoded. This process is typically done using a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). If your CCTV setup utilizes analog cameras, it is highly likely that you are already using a DVR to record the video in a digital format.

In that case, the streaming configuration will need to be performed on the DVR since it is responsible for managing the digital video feed. The DVR acts as the central hub for the analog cameras, receiving their video signals, converting them into a digital format, and providing various functionalities such as recording, playback, and streaming. Within the DVR's settings or configuration options, you will typically find the necessary options to configure the streaming settings, including the destination URL and stream key. By configuring these settings on the DVR, you can enable the streaming of the analog camera feeds to an RTMP endpoint, allowing Intelobotica.com to process the video stream for face recognition and monitoring.

Before you begin, ensure that you have the following:

  • An Analog camera connected to a DVR.
  • An active Intelobotica.com account.
  • RTMP streaming capabilities supported by the DVR.

Steps to Stream Analog Cameras

  1. Obtain the Stream URL and Stream Key for the camera in your Intelobotica -> camera.

  2. Navigate to the camera settings or configuration options on your DVR. Look for the streaming settings or RTMP streaming section.

The RTMP streaming settings, typically require the following information:

  • RTMP Server URL (Stream URL): The destination URL where you will be streaming your camera feed. It should be provided by Intelobotica.com.
  • Stream Key (Stream Key): A unique identifier that allows Intelobotica.com to receive your camera feed securely. You can obtain the Stream Key from your Intelobotica.com account.
  1. In the RTMP streaming settings of your DVR, enter the provided RTMP Server URL and Stream Key in the corresponding fields.

  2. Save the settings and ensure that the streaming configuration is applied.

  3. On the Intelobotica -> cameras verify that the camera is connected and the camera status is Streaming.

  4. Once the setup is complete, your analog camera feed will be streamed to the specified RTMP endpoint, where Intelobotica.com will process the video stream for face recognition and monitoring.

If you encounter any issues during the setup or have questions regarding the streaming process, feel free to reach out to the Intelobotica.com support team for assistance.
